6. Budget simulator
Total ecology weight across all 644 animals: 1087.0. Tune the per-keeper weight cap and shift length; keepers/day and weekly cost recompute live.

Reconciliation against the validated spec — an honest +0.6% delta.
This app recomputes the ecology weight from the raw 644-animal AnimalCare pull with its own
species-tier matcher, and gets 1087.0 where the reviewed spec (issue #8) states
1,080.5 — a delta of +6.5 (+0.6%). Cause: 22 animals have blank or
scientific-name-only
Species text that our matcher cannot resolve and defaults to tier 2
(the same 6 unusable-species records the Husbandry Managers are being asked to fix in issue #6).
The delta does not change any business answer: keepers/day = ceil(weight ÷ cap) gives
78 / 68 / 61 at caps 14 / 16 / 18 under both figures. Neither source has been
overridden to match the other — both are shown.
The existing workforce can only cover one cell. CORE supplies 360 keeper-days/wk
and EXTENDED (pending sign-off) adds 105 more — 465 available.
Cap 16 needs 476 keeper-days/wk and cap 14 needs 546 — both exceed the available pool. Cap 18 × 8h
(427 needed) is the only cell the current workforce can actually cover without net-new hires.
